Delegate since 2019 and deputy speaker pro tem. Solomon has represented District 18 since 2019 and was elected deputy speaker pro tem in 2023.

- Member of joint committees on children and families. Solomon serves on the Joint Committee on Children, Youth & Families.
- Chair of the Jewish Caucus and member of other caucuses. He leads the Maryland Legislative Jewish Caucus and participates in the Latino and Transit caucuses.
- Co‑sponsor of HB0837 promoting career‑focused education. Solomon supported the More Opportunities for Career‑Focused Students Act.
- Advocate for education equity and workforce readiness. A former Teach for America teacher and policy adviser, he champions education reforms that prepare students for diverse careers.
