FOR BUILDING REPS

MCEA Building Representatives (Reps) are elected by their union colleagues at each worksite. Building Reps are elected to help do the following:

Empowering educators to participate in their union
Helping members solve problems arising from their work as educators, including potential violations of MCEA’s contract with MCPS
Communicating broader worksite issues to union leadership and staff
Mobilizing collective action to improve students’ learning conditions and educators’ working conditions
