RUN FOR THE BOARD

MCEA’s Board of Directors consists of the following: 

• President 
• First Vice-President 
• Second Vice-President (immediate past president, shall serve for only one term) 
• Secretary  
• Treasurer 
• Nine (9) Directors elected to designated constituency seats 
• Three (3) Directors at Large elected to undesignated seats.   

The nine designated constituency seats on the Board include:  

• Early Childhood/Elementary Schools (4 seats) 
• Middle Schools (2 seats) 
• High Schools (2 seats) 
• Non-School-Based (1 seat) 
• Retired (1 seat) 

Non-school-based constituencies include psychologists, PPWs, Staff Development specialists, consulting teachers, itinerant special educators, other office-based specialists, substitute/HHT teachers. 

Officers and Directors have two-year terms; elections are held yearly for half of the Board members.
