In order to build a strong contract that improves teaching and learning for your colleagues and the students of Montgomery County the MCEA Bargaining Team needs your best thinking.
Issues? We all know the issues we are challenged by – Professional Work Time, Professional Learning, Financial Considerations, Team Work and Leadership Structures. What we don’t necessarily know are the best solutions for improving those issues.
Solution Focused! The purpose of the Town Hall dates listed below is for members from around the county to provide their best solutions for the issues that are important to us.
Structure – Because we know that the workday ending is different depending on your school we have designed the town halls so that they are located around the county, and that the start and end times are staggered. They begin at 4:00 and end at 6:45 – but the first and last 30 minutes of the meeting repeat. So you can come as early as 4:00 and leave by 6:00 or come as close to 4:45 and stay until 6:45.
