2. Urgent Call for Action: Tell the County Council that our Schools Need More!

After months of pressure from our members and the community, the Education and Culture (E&C) Committee proposed an additional $49.5 million in critical funds to redress the shortfalls of the County Executive’s MCPS budget. However, these funds are not guaranteed, and still fall far short of what is truly needed to run and maintain a world class school system. And now there are signs that the full council will put cuts back in place. We implore our county council members to recognize the urgency of this matter and to take decisive action by fully funding the MCPS budget. Keep speaking out to our elected officials!

You can help fight back against underfunding that negatively impacts our students and staff. Click here to demand that the county council fully fund our schools!
