In this four-day workshop, participants will:
- Learn how to create a safe and caring learning environment for all learners that values relationship in both word and deed
- Engage in rigorous and critical reflection on their own and students’ multifaceted and intersectional identities and the impact they have on education
- Move beyond “strategies” in order to organize students, educators and community members in authentic collaboration designed to interrupt patterns in equity
Module One: Elements of Equity Literacy
Module Two: Intersectional Approaches to Race and Gender
Module Three: Learning Through Culture and Difference
Module Four: Leading and Coaching Through Equity
Monday, June 27 to Thursday, June 30 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
By attending this workshop, you will have a total of 45 hours of work (27 hours of in-face participation and an additional 18 hours of outside coursework)
All submissions will be graded Pass/Fail
