Rescheduled from March 17 (snow day 10!) Our ACA open house will be held on Wednesday March 26. Please RSVP again so we can ensure that we have enough seats and food!
On Wednesday March 25, the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA) is hosting another event, in follow-up to the session held earlier last month, for substitute teachers and home & hospital teachers who work in the Montgomery County Public Schools. The ACA open house will be held from 6-8 PM at the MCEA Conference Center.
The recently passed federal Affordable Care Act has created a network of federal and state “exchanges” where individuals can easily find and compare health insurance plans. In addition, the ACA provides subsidies to millions of low-wage and contingent workers to lower their monthly insurance premiums.
In conjunction with the Montgomery County Health Department, MCEA is hosting a session with ACA Navigators who will be available to provide ACA information, and help interested substitute/HHT teachers complete/submit their ACA insurance exchange applications onsite.
While others interested in learning about the ACA are limited to online information, MCEA is pleased to offer you this special opportunity to speak firsthand with knowledgeable experts about the network of exchanges, understand/compare plans and sign up for insurance, if desired.
Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
We look forward to having you join us on Wednesday evening!
Space is limited. In order to ensure a place, please RSVP at this link if you would like to attend: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ACAOpenHouse
