Meet Suzie, a life-long advocate by nature! Through her roles both as a speech-language pathologist on the MCPS InterACT assistive technology team and in the union, she works to build community and elevate the voices of minority and overlooked groups. As Non-School Based director on the Board, she has a special interest in understanding the unique needs of MCEA members who work at centralized sites. Suzie believes the most important way we can serve in our capacity as union leaders is to ensure educators feel they are respected, engaged, and valued members. On the weekends, when not parenting her small human, Suzie can be found doing style and color analyses, audio-booking, exploring nature, and hunting for the best gluten-free, dairy-free treats in the DMV.
