- Chair of the Legislative Black Caucus. Wilkins leads the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and is a member of the Legislative Latino Caucus, the Women Legislators and the Transit Caucus.
- Chairs county delegation committee. She chairs the Land Use, Transportation & Public Safety Committee of the Montgomery County Delegation.
- Co‑sponsor of HB0837 promoting career‑focused guidance. She helped pass the More Opportunities for Career‑Focused Students Act.
- Advocate for voting rights and early childhood education. Wilkins champions automatic voter registration, affordable childcare and pre‑kindergarten expansion.
