State senator since 2016 with prior House service. Zucker has represented District 14 in the Senate since 2016 and previously served in the House of Delegates (2011‑2016).
- Member of Budget & Taxation Committee and subcommittee chair. He serves on the Budget & Taxation Committee and chairs its public safety & transportation subcommittee.
- Chairs the Spending Affordability Committee. Zucker is the Senate chair of the Spending Affordability Committee and sits on the Legislative Policy and Executive Nominations committees.
- Co‑sponsor of SB1058 (Educate to Stop the Hate Act). He supported the act requiring anti‑hate and Holocaust education standards and authorizing funding penalties for noncompliant boards.
- Advocate for education funding and fiscal responsibility. As a longtime budget leader he champions investments in K‑12 education and sound fiscal policy.
- Supports rehabilitation services and school safety initiatives. Zucker has backed legislation to improve the State Department of Education’s Division of Rehabilitation Services and enhance school safety.
